Rissdon Jade was founded with a singular devotion: to bring beautiful natural jadeite to discerning collectors and jewellery lovers. Our journey begins in the jadeite mines of Myanmar (Burma), home to the most coveted jadeite on earth. For centuries, Myanmar jadeite has been prized by emperors, artisans, and collectors for its incomparable colour, translucency, and cultural significance.
We source our jadeite from established suppliers in Myanmar, working only with stones that meet our standards for colour, translucency, and structural integrity. Every piece is available with independent laboratory testing before it ships — and we tell you exactly what that report says, including anything it flags. What you see is what nature created, refined by hand.
Our atelier brings together traditional Chinese carving techniques with contemporary jewellery design. We will tell you plainly what the stone is and what the report says — no treatment claims we cannot prove, no imitations, and no surprises after delivery. Certification is issued by accredited third-party laboratories and provided with the piece.

Grading Explained
Certifications
We sell jadeite with reference to these Chinese laboratory standards. Individual pieces carry a grading report only where one has actually been issued — each product page states its status.
CMA
China Metrology Accreditation
CMA is the national accreditation for metrology and testing laboratories in China. Where a piece has been tested, the report is issued by a CMA-accredited laboratory and states the stone's identity and treatment status.
CNAS
China National Accreditation Service
CNAS is the national accreditation body that certifies laboratories against international standards (ISO/IEC 17025). Reports from CNAS-accredited laboratories are recognised internationally.
What Grade A Means
Grade A refers to jadeite that is natural and untreated — not bleached, not polymer-impregnated, and not dyed. It is the only grade that retains the full natural beauty and value of the stone. Where a piece carries a Grade A grading report, we show you that report before you buy. Where a report has not yet been issued, we say so plainly.
